Casting Networks

How do I fill out my sizes and vitals on Casting Networks?

Go to your profile → Sizes. Fill out every field that applies — commercial and wardrobe casting both filter on these, and missing sizes means you're invisible to those searches.

Sizes and vitals on Casting Networks aren't decorative — they're searchable filters that commercial casting directors and wardrobe departments use to shortlist.

To fill them out:

  1. Go to Profile → Sizes (or similar depending on CN's current UI).
  2. Fill every numeric size you know: height, weight, shirt, pants, shoe, dress, suit, chest, waist, inseam, neck, sleeve.
  3. Add non-numeric vitals: hair color/type, eye color, complexion, ethnicity, gender, age range.

Why it matters:

Commercial casting directors search very specifically — "female, 25–35, size 6–8, 5'4"–5'7", Asian or mixed ethnicity" is a completely normal query. If you haven't filled out your sizes, you don't appear in that search. Period.

Tips:

  • Age range is playing age, not actual age. List the range of ages you can genuinely play on camera today.
  • Be honest about clothing sizes. If you show up to a wardrobe fitting wearing a different size than listed, wardrobe will flag it. That's a one-way ticket off the shortlist.
  • Update sizes after significant changes (weight, hair color, etc.).
  • Ethnicity should reflect how you're cast, not just your heritage. If you're consistently cast as a specific ethnicity, list those you can play.

This one section takes 15 minutes to fill out and materially changes your audition rate.
