How do I add or link my agent on Showcast?

Once you have a signed agent, go to Profile → Agent and add their details. Your agent can then manage submissions on your behalf through their agent portal.

Showcast has a structured agent relationship — your agent must be registered on Showcast for the link to work properly.

To link your agent:

  1. Log in and go to Profile → Agent Info (or Representation).
  2. Start typing your agent or agency name — registered Showcast agents will appear in a dropdown.
  3. Select them and save.
  4. Your agent's portal now shows you on their roster.

If your agent isn't in the dropdown:

They may not have a Showcast agent account. Ask them to set one up — most AU/NZ agents are already on Showcast, but some smaller or newer ones aren't.

What your agent can do once linked:

  • See your full profile as CD-facing.
  • Submit you for breakdowns from their agent portal.
  • Manage your availability updates.
  • Receive casting notifications about roles where you've been shortlisted.

Self-representation:

If you're self-represented, list that status. Don't leave the agent field blank — casting filters sometimes skip profiles with no representation info at all (they look unfinished).

Changing agents:

Remove your old agent connection first (Profile → Agent → Remove) before linking to a new one. Showcast doesn't allow multiple conflicting agent links.

For commercial work:

Some actors have a theatrical agent and a separate commercial agent in Australia. Showcast supports this — add both with their category noted.
