Showcast

How much does Showcast cost?

Around AU$150–200/year for a full Performer profile. Payment is annual, not monthly. Agent members pay separately.

Showcast uses an annual membership model.

Typical pricing:

  • Performer: around AU$150–200/year.
  • Child/Young Performer: around AU$100–120/year.
  • Agents and managers: separate agent-tier pricing.

What's included:

  • Profile with unlimited media (photos, showreels, skill clips)
  • Visibility in casting director searches
  • Access to submit for self-rep-friendly breakdowns
  • Vitals and availability that flow into casting filters

What's not included:

  • Guaranteed submissions (those depend on your agent or self-submission effort)
  • Agent representation
  • Training or workshops

Is it worth it?

For working AU/NZ actors: yes, Showcast is the standard. Nearly every AU casting director uses the platform; being on it is table-stakes.

For newer actors without representation: it's worth maintaining a profile, but Showcast works much better with an agent actively submitting. If you're early-career without rep, invest the same money in classes, headshots, and self-tape gear first.

Payment:

Annual only. Renewal reminders come 30 days before expiry — watch your email.

Prorated joining:

If you join mid-year, you pay full annual fee (not prorated). Time your signup so it aligns with a clear start — e.g., after headshots are done, when you have time to keep it current.
