Acting Resources ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at actingresources.com (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. Authentication is handled by Supabase, a third-party infrastructure provider. We do not store your password directly — it is managed securely by Supabase's authentication service.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. We may receive limited information from Stripe such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing address for record-keeping purposes.
We automatically collect certain information when you access the Platform, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps. This data helps us understand how the Platform is used and improve our services.
When you use our Headshot Review tool, you upload an image that is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. We do not permanently store these images on our servers. The image is transmitted to Anthropic for processing and the analysis results are returned to you.
When you use our Self-Tape Analysis tool, you select a video file from your device. Your video file never leaves your device and is never uploaded to any server. All video processing happens entirely in your browser (client-side): frames are extracted locally, composited into grid images, and only those still-image grids are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. The original video file remains solely on your device at all times.
When you interact with any of our AI tools (Acting Coach, Monologue Helper, Union Guide, Platform Help, Headshot Review, Self-Tape Analysis), the text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Conversation history may be stored in your account for your convenience if you are a subscribed user.
We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform:
All AI-powered features use Anthropic's Claude API. When you use an AI tool, your input text and any uploaded images or extracted video frames are sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy. Anthropic's commercial API terms state that they do not train their models on data submitted through the API.
We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Your account information and usage data are stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you provide payment information, it is collected and processed directly by Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle your payment data.
The Platform is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect server logs and performance data. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and remember your preferences. We may also use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. AI conversation history for subscribed users is retained while your subscription is active. Images submitted for headshot review are not permanently stored by Acting Resources. Video files used for self-tape analysis are never transmitted from your device. Usage data may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form for analytics purposes.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS/SSL. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable.
The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. While we offer educational content that may be relevant to young actors and their families (such as our parent guide course), accounts must be created by individuals who are at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Platform.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@actingresources.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
