These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at actingresources.com and all related services (the "Platform"), operated by Acting Resources ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on the Platform. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@actingresources.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
The Platform provides AI-powered tools including an Acting Coach, Monologue Helper, Union Guide, Platform Help, Headshot Review, and Self-Tape Analysis. These tools are powered by Anthropic's Claude API and provide educational guidance and general information only.
AI tool outputs do not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or career advice. You should always verify information with qualified professionals (such as an entertainment attorney, licensed talent agent, or union representative) before making important decisions about your career.
AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. Use all AI tool outputs at your own discretion and risk.
Acting Resources provides educational tools and resources designed to help actors develop their skills and navigate the industry. However, we make no guarantees or promises regarding career outcomes, audition results, bookings, agent representation, or any other professional results. Success in the entertainment industry depends on many factors outside our control.
You retain all ownership rights to content you upload to or create through the Platform, including images, video files, and text you submit to AI tools.
By uploading content, you grant Acting Resources a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the requested service (e.g., transmitting an image to the AI API for analysis). We do not claim ownership of your uploads and do not use them for any other purpose.
For self-tape analysis specifically, your video file is processed entirely within your browser and is never uploaded to our servers. Only extracted still-image frames are sent to the AI service for analysis.
All course content, lesson text, resource guides, market guides, UI design, and other original materials on the Platform are the intellectual property of Acting Resources and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any of our proprietary content without our prior written consent. You may reference and share links to our free courses for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Some features of the Platform require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the change is communicated.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or used the Platform in a manner that is harmful to other users or to our operations.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@actingresources.com. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Acting Resources and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, career opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in subscription fees during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any actions you take or decisions you make based on information or guidance provided by our AI tools or course content.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. AI tool responses are generated by third-party AI models and we do not warrant their accuracy or suitability for any purpose.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Acting Resources and its officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
